Production fonts are the fonts you use to create Internal Documents, Promotional Materials, and Video Content as well as Logos used within those materials. These are not the fonts used in mock-ups or for discovery purposes. Every Monotype Fonts subscription allots you a certain number of production fonts, which are linked to the distribution rights that you purchase with your plan.

Yes, you can test fonts in any environment and create as many mock-ups as you’d like, as long as they are not deployed commercially or publicly. You only need to use production fonts once you are deploying fonts for commercial purposes.

Your licensed user(s) can browse, search, and filter the Monotype Fonts inventory; sync fonts to their computer; and use those synced fonts to create content and materials. Additionally, your licensed user(s) can use Production Fonts to: 
 

• create and share Internal Documents with up to 20 employees of your organization, and
• produce a small number of static graphic materials for limited sharing/distribution (up to 5,000 units). 

Monotype Fonts subscription plans place distribution limits on your right to share and distribute created content and materials, including flat or static graphic materials. No, the Create + Deploy plan does not allow you to download font files. However, the Monotype Desktop App allows you to sync fonts directly to your design tools, including InDesign, Photoshop, Figma, PowerPoint, and Word. Fonts synced with the Monotype Desktop App will be visible in any application that reads your local system font files.

Monotype Fonts offers the Monotype Desktop App, which allows you to sync fonts directly from the Monotype Fonts Library to your desktop environment and design tools without having to install fonts.

No, you can’t put on a website until you purchase the proper license. You must use the web hosting tools on Monotype Fonts, and may not self-host or use third-party hosting providers.
